World Architecture Community Awards 42nd Cycle Winners Announced22 12 24 UP World Architecture Community has announced the winners of WA Awards 10+5+X 42nd Cycle in Architecture and Interior Design sections. WA Awards presents 50 different winning projects from 13 different countries with a fantastic mix of building types, spanning from China to Saudi Arabia, Ukraine to Colombia. ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) has continuously supported the award as one of the media partners.

MIID REKA Awards 2022 Announces its Winners ; ADF Award Goes to “Kedah Digital Library (KDL) ”22 12 19 UP The Malaysian Interior Designers Association (MIID), the representative body of the Malaysian interior design industry, has announced the winners of the MIID REKA Awards 2022. Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) has been supporting this award since 2018, as a corporate partner. The winner this year was The Kedah Digital Library (KDL) by NCER, who celebrates the future-forward concept of “Library Without Books” and redefining the role of a State- owned Public Library as Learning Hub and Community Node.

PIG HOUSE by Li Wenqiang22 12 12 UP PIG HOUSE, the office of PIG DESIGN, is located in an old residential area in Binjiang, Hangzhou. It adjoins the bank of Qiantang River, and faces the West Lake across the river. In order to break away from traditional office buildings' indifference to the local environment and lack of cultural significance, Li Wenqiang decided to transform a detached old house into PIG DESIGN's studio.

Dezeen Announces Design Winners for Dezeen Awards 202222 11 29 UP Dezeen has announced the winners of this year's Dezeen Awards in the design categories. The Dezeen Awards celebrate the best architecture, interiors and design around the globe. The 11 award-winning design studios honoured in Dezeen's annual awards programme hail from nine different countries, including Japan, the Netherlands, Latvia, Australia and Canada. All category winners will now compete against each other to win the overall award for Best Building, Best Interior and Best Design, which will be announced at a live event in London on November 29. This year, the NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) is again supporting the award as a media partner.

【ADF Web Magazine】SFMOMA Launches Initiatives to Increase Art Access for Community22 11 29 UP Development Writer Riley Yaxley reports on a series of initiatives developed by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) to increase access to art installations. Dedicated to Bay Area artists, the exhibition will provide each artist in the upcoming show with a dedicated gallery to showcase new works and invite the public to immerse themselves in that artist's practice. The museum will offer free admission from December 17, 2022 through May 29, 2023 as part of the SECA Art Award exhibition.

Hovering Kan-Too22 11 28 UP The translucent Great Bay Area Showroom known as the "Hovering Kan-Too" designed by Wutopia Lab, the door to future of Vanke-Shum Yip, was completed and opened in July 2022. Located at the west bank of the Pearl River Delta, and the west gate of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, it is in the front-line coastal area of the Great Bay Area. Standing on the roof on sunny days, one can have a view of the spectacular building cluster on the other side of the sea in Qianhai, Shenzhen. The ambitious showroom is a new landmark of the new city floating on the sea.

"ADF DESIGN AWARD 2023" Judges Determined22 11 08 UP The judges for the "ADF Design Award 2023," hosted by NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) and currently accepting applications, have been determined. The theme of this year's award is "Design for Architecture." The total amount of prizes will be 20,000 US dollars for the Best Performance Award, 10,000 US dollars for the Excellence Award per category, and 1,000 US dollars for the Encouragement Award per category, with an award for each category, making the total amount of prizes 100,000 US dollars.
