Songyun Villa by Bob Chen Design Office

Situated in the bustling downtown of Changzhou, the hundred-year old Songyun Villa has now been opened to public after renovation. While remaining the original architectural style, an exquisite and deluxe restaurant has been built in the courtyard. The restaurant features the functional spaces for dining, high-end banquet, wine tasting, tea drinking and courtyard leisure, with 15 boxes of various sizes and one big dining hall.

We have received a new report supported by GARDE!

Opened in December, the transformed Art Gallery of New South Wales is Sydney’s most significant cultural development since the Sydney Opera House nearly half a century ago. The development almost doubles the art gallery’s exhibition space and includes a new building and centerpiece of the project designed by acclaimed Japanese architects SANAA. This is linked to the original building by an art garden. The art museum buildings are set in new civic spaces and landscape with elements designed by American landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson, creating new freely accessible outdoor art experiences. The new building is also comprised of art research and education spaces, multipurpose spaces, a gallery shop, food and beverage facilities, and visitor amenities.

World Architecture Community Awards 42nd Cycle Winners Announced

World Architecture Community has announced the winners of WA Awards 10+5+X 42nd Cycle in Architecture and Interior Design sections. WA Awards presents 50 different winning projects from 13 different countries with a fantastic mix of building types, spanning from China to Saudi Arabia, Ukraine to Colombia. ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) has continuously supported the award as one of the media partners.

MIID REKA Awards 2022 Announces its Winners ; ADF Award Goes to “Kedah Digital Library (KDL) ”

The Malaysian Interior Designers Association (MIID), the representative body of the Malaysian interior design industry, has announced the winners of the MIID REKA Awards 2022. Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) has been supporting this award since 2018, as a corporate partner. The winner this year was The Kedah Digital Library (KDL) by NCER, who celebrates the future-forward concept of “Library Without Books” and redefining the role of a State- owned Public Library as Learning Hub and Community Node.

PIG HOUSE by Li Wenqiang

PIG HOUSE, the office of PIG DESIGN, is located in an old residential area in Binjiang, Hangzhou. It adjoins the bank of Qiantang River, and faces the West Lake across the river. In order to break away from traditional office buildings' indifference to the local environment and lack of cultural significance, Li Wenqiang decided to transform a detached old house into PIG DESIGN's studio.
