ADF Art Gallery Project Vol.37 | Isana Shinomiya Solo Exhibition “Things That Will One Day Be Scorched and Shine” 26 01 26 UP ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) is pleased to present “Things That Will One Day Be Scorched and Shine,” the 37th exhibition of the “ADF Art Gallery Project” by artist Isana Shinomiya, from 7 to 21 February 2026 at GARDE Gallery in Omotesando, Tokyo. An opening party will be held on Friday, 6 February from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

Denmark News January 2026 26 01 19 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! 25hours Hotel Copenhagen Paper Island opened on July 27, 2024, on Christiansholm in Copenhagen Harbor. Designed by COBE Architects, the project forms part of a waterfront redevelopment that revitalizes a former industrial area once used for shipbuilding, warehousing, and paper storage. The hotel comprises 128 guest rooms, along with restaurants, bars, and public spaces, and is located close to Nyhavn and the Royal Danish Opera House. The newly constructed building references the scale and proportions of historic industrial halls. Interiors by Stylt Trampoli draw inspiration from the idea of a Scandinavian summer house, incorporating wood, coastal color palettes, reclaimed materials, and objects that reflect the site’s port history. Together, these elements create an unpretentious atmosphere that maintains a strong connection to the surrounding waterfront.

【ADF Web Magazine】Cain Lamarre’s New Office by Sid Lee Architecture in Montreal’s Heritage 26 01 06 UP In Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, the law firm Cain Lamarre has relocated its offices to a heritage building, reaffirming its commitment to remaining rooted in the city’s architectural history while redefining what a contemporary legal workplace can be. Designed in collaboration with Sid Lee Architecture, the project rejects the formality traditionally associated with law offices in favor of a warmer, more open environment inspired by hospitality design.

T10A Pavilion: An Exhibition Pavilion Built from 40,000 Recycled Plastic Bags in Hanoi 26 01 05 UP T10A Pavilion, a public exhibition pavilion designed by Hanoi-based architectural studio ODDO architects, has been completed and opened to the public in Hanoi, Vietnam. The project explores an innovative approach to sustainability through material reuse and community participation, positioning waste as a valuable architectural resource.

WA Awards 10+5+X 52nd Cycle Winners Announced | World Architecture Community Awards 25 12 23 UP Winners selected from 17 countries worldwide The World Architecture Community (WAC) has announced the winners of the 52nd Cycle of the WA Awards 10+5+X, a global architecture award recognizing excellence in architecture, student projects, and interior design. This cycle features 35 winning projects from 17 countries across three categories: Architecture (Realised / Designed), Student, and Interior Design. Berlin News November 2025 25 12 15 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! Hotel Oderberger, originally a public pool built in 1898, has been transformed into a modern design hotel while preserving its historic decor. Its pool is equipped with a liftable floor that allows the space to be converted into a multipurpose hall, and the former changing rooms and showers have been repurposed as guest rooms and seminar rooms. The lounges and meeting spaces retain original architectural details, earning the hotel a cultural heritage preservation award. Bundesbüdchen in Berlin is a distinctive restaurant that recreates the legendary kiosk from Bonn almost true to scale. It serves refined traditional German cuisine in a warm, inviting space featuring a curved counter and natural wood and leather furnishings, attracting politicians and celebrities as a hidden gem.
