Dezeen Awards 2020 Winners Revealed

The winners of Dezeen Awards 2020 have been announced in a series of three video shows, revealing the best architecture, interiors and design projects and studios in the world this year. NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) supports Dezeen Awards 2020 as a media partner.


Handkerchief Day: Design applications are accepted from November 3, 2020

CLASSICS the Small Luxury, the handkerchief specialty store, hosts the CLASSICS the Small Luxury Design Award for handkerchief design, inviting applications for the award from November 3, 2020 to January 31, 2021. CLASSICS the Small Luxury opened its first store in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills in 2003 with the concept of "luxury in the palm of your hand". Classics the Small Luxury is a handkerchief store that produces original seasonal designs, high quality materials, beautiful designs, and meticulous work. They have released handkerchiefs in collaboration with many domestic and international artists.

Final Call! ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2021

ADF will hold an exhibition at the International Furniture Fair “Milano Salone” held in Milan, Italy in 2021. Along with this, the ADF will hold the “ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2021” this time as well and the award-winning works will be exhibited at the venue.

The theme of “ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2021” is “re_”. “re_” literally means “to make something again”.

We will invite Eric Clough as a judge, the CEO of the architectural design company “212box”, which is based in NY and is active in interior design such as Christian Louboutin all over the world. In addition, we have newly been decided to welcome Mr. Kota Bando as a judge. He is the president of NY based interior design firm “Bando x Seidel Meersseman” now after founding and managing Monolayer and Bando Design.

Please express the theme “re_” as you think with ideas and designs. Application is until November 15th, 2020. We are looking forward to your application!

Best Graduates Award for new graduates at the Milan Polytechnic

The Order of Architects, P.P.C. of the Province of Milan and its Foundation promotes the Best Graduates Award dedicated to the best thesis.

The award is open to new graduates at the Milan Polytechnic, who have supported their thesis in the year prior to the award reference, in this case in 2018, whose thesis has been reported as worthy by the delegated representatives of the Order of PPC Architects at the Graduation Commissions of the Milan Polytechnic.

World Architecture Community Awards 35th Cycle Winners Announced

World Architecture Community team has announced the winners of WA Awards 10+5+X 35th Cycle in Architecture, Interior Design and Student categories. It has 47 different winning projects from 18 different countries with a fantastic mix of building types, spanning from China to South Korea, France to Burma. ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) proudly supports the WA Awards as one of media partners.

Dezeen Awards 2020 public vote is open!

Dezeen Awards 2020 is now running a public vote encouraging all their readers to vote for their favorite projects. New this year, the public vote allows all the readers to vote for projects and studios shortlisted in the architecture, interiors and design categories, as well as architects and designers in line for the studio of the year awards.

Dezeen Awards 2020 longlists have been published!

Dezeen Awards 2020 is for the world's best architecture, interiors and design projects, as well as the individuals and studios producing the most outstanding work. Longlisted projects have been selected from over 4,300 entries from 85 countries for the third edition of our awards programme, which celebrates the world's best architecture, interiors and design as well as studios and individuals producing the most outstanding work.


The KOKUYO DESIGN AWARD now open for entry!!

The KOKUYO DESIGN AWARD is an international competition for user-centric design, where the best of the best are actually turned into products for the consumer market. Last year, they received a total of 1,377 entries from designers in more than 54 countries.

They are looking for more ideas to turn into actual products. This year’s theme is “POST-NORMAL”. As all items generally used in everyday life are included in the target design areas, they expect the submission of flexible ideas, not only in stationery and furniture, which are the main product categories of KOKUYO.

【Deadline Extended】MIID REKA Awards 2020 Call For Entries!

NPO ADF proudly supports "The MIID REKA Awards for Industry Excellence 2020", which was established by The Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) to celebrate outstanding interior design ideas. MIID is the national institute representing the interior design profession in Malaysia.

The MIID REKA Awards 2020 is continuing this year in search of design excellence. This is to recognize talented designers, interior designers, and architects that have created value to living and commercial spaces. All submitted entries for Design Excellence category must be designed by a registered member of MIID or Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM). As for Industry Excellence Category, it is open to Malaysian registered companies.

【Final Call】 WA Awards 35th Cycle is now open and accepting entries

World Architecture Community has opened the WA Awards 10+5+X 35th Cycle to accept innovative projects from all around to be judged by a panel of star jury, including world-renowned architects, high-profiled academics and top design leaders, as well as WA Awards' previous winners and World Architecture Community Members. All architects, interior designers, architecture and interior design students can send their entries until August 20, 2020 (23:59 GMT) by registering to WAC from here first. Registrations are free to WAC and after uploading their projects, participants can send their entries whenever they want before deadline.
