Japan News September 2025 We have received a new report supported by GARDE! Hotel Sosei Sapporo is a boutique design hotel in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, built on the historic site of the Pioneer Brewery-the birthplace of Sapporo Beer, founded in 1876. Since its opening in January 2024, the hotel has been distinguished by UNESCO’s Versailles initiative as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Hotels 2025.The interiors harmonize Japanese tradition with Western influences, blending reclaimed brick and timber with contemporary finishes. At its bar, a striking copper fireplace-evoking traditional German brewing kilns-creates a sense of historical warmth. Through curated art displays and guided tours, guests are invited to explore Sapporo’s rich cultural and industrial heritage.

【ADF Web Magazine】The Architecture Drawing Prize 2025 is accepting entries In partnership with Make Architects and Sir John Soane’s Museum, World Architecture Festival (WAF) announces the call for entries for the eighth edition of The Architecture Drawing Prize, sponsored by Iris Ceramica Group. The entry deadline for all submissions is 12 September 2025. Back after a two-year hiatus, the Prize was launched in 2017 to celebrate and showcase the art and skill of architectural drawing across multiple formats. NPO Aoyama Design Forum is supporting the Architecture Drawing Prize as an official media partner.

Paris News August 2025 We have received a new report supported by GARDE! The Grand Palais, a historic landmark in Paris, has reopened following a major renovation that spanned nearly four years. Originally constructed for the 1900 World’s Fair, the building has been transformed into a progressive space that accommodates a wide range of contemporary cultural activities, while honoring its iconic architectural grandeur. The theme of the renovation is a seamless fusion of history and modernity, resulting in a space that embodies sustainability, functionality, and artistic expression. Ami Paris, a French brand popular in Japan, has opened its flagship store on Rue de Turenne in the North Marais district of Paris. The interior was designed through a collaboration between founder Alexandre Mattiussi and the Paris-based Studio KO. The space reflects a modern yet welcoming atmosphere, featuring robust natural materials such as limestone, wood, and leather sourced from Euville in the Lorraine region. These elements are complemented by striking details like concrete columns and mirror-finished stainless steel, creating a refined yet grounded aesthetic

Korea News August 2025 We have received a new report supported by GARDE! The brand’s first global flagship store, CASETiFY Dosan, has opened in Seoul’s Gangnam district. Spanning five stories, it is the brand’s first experiential retail space, bringing digital sensibility and customization culture into the offline world. Designed by Crosby Studios, headquartered in Moscow, the store incorporates a modular structure and bold color-blocking across all floors, creating a playful, LEGO-like visual appeal. J. Lindeberg’s Seoul flagship store reflects the brand’s philosophy of “bridging sports and fashion,” with a clubhouse-inspired design that goes beyond the traditional retail concept. As the brand’s largest location to date, it spans six levels from the basement to the fifth floor, with each floor dedicated to a distinct theme and function, strategically developed to strengthen its presence in the Asian market.

Berlin News September 2025 We have received a new report supported by GARDE! In 1969, a 220-meter television tower was constructed in East Berlin. At the heart of its silver-colored sphere lies an observation deck and restaurant, offering a full 360-degree view of Berlin every 30 minutes and making it one of the city’s most popular attractions. The observation restaurant has since been renovated and reopened as Sphere Tim Raue, now regarded as Berlin’s premier dining destination under the direction of star chef Tim Raue, generating significant buzz. A Shell gas station built in 1956 has likewise been transformed into a gallery and café. Despite its location on a busy main street and beside an elevated railway, the venue provides a calm, house-like atmosphere surrounded by greenery, drawing a steady flow of visitors.
