Petco, a pioneer in the pet industry since its establishment in 1965, is continuing its expansion following the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. In its commitment to offering pets and their owners top-tier and luxurious pet care services, the company inaugurated its latest establishment - a two-story pet care center situated in New York City's Union Square neighborhood. This 25,000-square-foot facility is a complete transformation of the nearly century-old Tammany Hall and includes a retail section offering pet related merchandise, a grooming salon, a veterinary clinic, and the exclusive "JustFoodForDogs" kitchen, dedicated to preparing nutritious meals exclusively for dogs. The store's interior exudes an ambiance reminiscent of an upscale department store, fusing classical architectural elements with modern design concepts, skillfully utilizing the iconic domed roof of the building, a local landmark. Furthermore, the store features an adoption booth for both pets and their prospective owners, making it a store deeply rooted in the community.

Zushan ー Ji Xin Monastery ー Wood Buddha Statue Museum by Archstudio

The Wood Buddha Statue Museum is located at Ji Xin Monastery in Zushan Scenic Area of Qinghuang dao City. With a history dating back to the Song dynasty (960-1279), the temple nestles half way up the mountain, overlooking the city and Bohai Sea like a hermit. As a major tourist spot of Zushan Scenic Area, the existing temple was rebuilt on its original site in 2002. Facing eastwards, the temple complex unfolds across the mountain terrain, forming a spatial layout in three courtyards. The museum is located at the back courtyard. As visitors navigate through a corridor of the temple’s main hall, they will see three halls standing on top of a high platform: the Guanxin Hall, the Hall of Medicine Buddha and the Hall of Amitabha Buddha, which are venues for the wood Buddha statue museum.
