Shenzhen Guangming International Equestrian Center by Tanghua Architects

The Guangming International Equestrian Center is in the Guangming Subdistrict of Guangming District, Shenzhen. It serves as the main venue for dressage and show jumping events of the 15th National Games and is the only newly constructed venue for the Shenzhen section of the games. The project spans an area of 50,018 square meters, with a total construction area of 69,000 square meters. The facility boasts a main arena, an indoor training hall, an outdoor training field, event spaces, and stables that can house 200 horses.

Luxe Lakes CPI Island: The Average Temperature and Subtle Scenery Between Islands

The Luxe Lakes CPI Island Commercial Renewal Project is a collection of villa models located on the east side of Luke Island in the "Luxe Lakes Ecological City" of Chengdu. More than 20 former Luxe Lakes Villa models have been located on the island. CPI Island needs a revitalized urban renewal and commercial iteration to reset the idle old properties on these islands, activate the connection between waterfront, human habitation, and commerce.

A design studio TOUCH Architect unveiled a French patisserie "French Kitsch III". Apart from being a specialized French patisserie, the owner’s love for French bulldogs also comes as brand identity, portraying a playful yet elegant image to the cafe. The design aims to enhance this image together with the concept of ‘Kitsch’, a form of art that appreciates imperfection through architecture elements and materials, which refers to an imperfect shape of ‘croissant’.

Both awards testify to the importance of the Living Places project on the global architecture scene.

IDIN Architects unveiled "Harudot", a stand-alone café in Chonburi, a famous beachside town in Thailand. This cafe is a result of a collaboration between the Nana Coffee Roasters brand owner and the landlord who has a particular interest in plants with unique forms. The name “Haru” translates to “Spring” in Japanese, referring to a “new beginning” and “growth” while “Dot” symbolizes a “starting point”.

【ADF Web Magazine】Ethereal Presence at K3, Kukje Gallery in Seoul

Founded in 1982 by Lee Hyun Sook, Kukje Gallery in Seoul, South Korea has established itself as a key promoter of Korean Dansaekhwa art and a platform for international contemporary artists like Alexander Calder and Jean-Michel Othoniel. The gallery's K3 building, designed by New York-based SO-IL, stands out with its ethereal architecture featuring a stainless steel chainmail mesh facade. This design, crafted with 510,000 individually welded rings, blends modern innovation with traditional craftsmanship, creating a smooth, light, and flexible outer layer that complements the gallery's surroundings near the Gyeongbokgung historic palace. The K3 building, completed in 2012, reflects Kukje Gallery's commitment to architectural excellence and its role in integrating contemporary art into Seoul's rich cultural landscape.

UAD designed Villagers' Home in Wanghu Village

In the context of rural revitalization, the construction of public spaces in rural areas is being extensively advocated. Many renewal practices, however, overlook the unique living environment and regional characteristics of rural areas, neglect the exploration of local village culture and the social aspect of public spaces. This had led to the destruction of the original state of the villages, the erasure of their historical memory, and ultimately the loss of precious indigenous cultural resources in rural areas.
