Red Dunes by XISUI Design (Shanghai, China) won the popular choice at the prestigious 2023 Architizer A+Awards. This innovative design showcases undulating red dunes that create an alluring landscape for children's activities. By seamlessly integrating functional installations within the natural topography, the project evokes the charm of a mountain nest or a jungle treehouse.


Zushan ー Ji Xin Monastery ー Wood Buddha Statue Museum by Archstudio

The Wood Buddha Statue Museum is located at Ji Xin Monastery in Zushan Scenic Area of Qinghuang dao City. With a history dating back to the Song dynasty (960-1279), the temple nestles half way up the mountain, overlooking the city and Bohai Sea like a hermit. As a major tourist spot of Zushan Scenic Area, the existing temple was rebuilt on its original site in 2002. Facing eastwards, the temple complex unfolds across the mountain terrain, forming a spatial layout in three courtyards. The museum is located at the back courtyard. As visitors navigate through a corridor of the temple’s main hall, they will see three halls standing on top of a high platform: the Guanxin Hall, the Hall of Medicine Buddha and the Hall of Amitabha Buddha, which are venues for the wood Buddha statue museum.


Colorful Wangjing by Hu Quanchun

The sculpture Colorful Wangjing is a new landmark created for Wangjing Sub-district in Beijing. It is located at the junction of Wangjing West Road and Futong West Avenue, which is a main intersection towards the downtown of Wangjing and is also an urban gateway.

​Design studio andblack introduces Darwin Bucky, a black box that can be used as an exhibition gallery, town hall, exhibition center, performance arena or even a bar or nightclub. It can be placed in public gardens, exhibition grounds or even in the city center. The cultural context chosen is the city of Ahmedabad, where similar theaters are scattered.


A Renewed Exploration of Diversity and Locality in Art Spaces SUIYUE ART by DA INTEGRATING

As a hub of Sichuan-style art, Chengdu has witnessed a group of outstanding artists such as He Duoling, Zhou Chunya, and Zhang Xiaogang emerge at the end of the last century. Yulin Road, a gathering place for contemporary artists, has bred avant-garde artistic and fashionable lifestyles. As a part of the local cultural cluster, SUIYUE ART finds its new location in an old office building in the 1980s on Fangcao West Street. DA INTEGRATING created a brand new art space reduced to 400 square meters from the original 1,500-square-meter gallery.

Be Architektur presents its residential barn project in a hamlet zone of about 15 buildings in a rural, predominantly agricultural setting in Switzerland. Typical barn features were taken up and reinterpreted in a modern way. From a distance, the residential building blends discreetly into the rustic surroundings.



DIESEL ART GALLERY presents “CANTINA” mograg VERSE, a group exhibition of nine artists curated by mograg gallery, an advocate of "Japanese Lowbrow Art" from Saturday, June 10 to Thursday, September 7, 2023.
