Zushan ー Ji Xin Monastery ー Wood Buddha Statue Museum by Archstudio

The Wood Buddha Statue Museum is located at Ji Xin Monastery in Zushan Scenic Area of Qinghuang dao City. With a history dating back to the Song dynasty (960-1279), the temple nestles half way up the mountain, overlooking the city and Bohai Sea like a hermit. As a major tourist spot of Zushan Scenic Area, the existing temple was rebuilt on its original site in 2002. Facing eastwards, the temple complex unfolds across the mountain terrain, forming a spatial layout in three courtyards. The museum is located at the back courtyard. As visitors navigate through a corridor of the temple’s main hall, they will see three halls standing on top of a high platform: the Guanxin Hall, the Hall of Medicine Buddha and the Hall of Amitabha Buddha, which are venues for the wood Buddha statue museum.

Colorful Wangjing by Hu Quanchun

The sculpture Colorful Wangjing is a new landmark created for Wangjing Sub-district in Beijing. It is located at the junction of Wangjing West Road and Futong West Avenue, which is a main intersection towards the downtown of Wangjing and is also an urban gateway.

A Renewed Exploration of Diversity and Locality in Art Spaces SUIYUE ART by DA INTEGRATING

As a hub of Sichuan-style art, Chengdu has witnessed a group of outstanding artists such as He Duoling, Zhou Chunya, and Zhang Xiaogang emerge at the end of the last century. Yulin Road, a gathering place for contemporary artists, has bred avant-garde artistic and fashionable lifestyles. As a part of the local cultural cluster, SUIYUE ART finds its new location in an old office building in the 1980s on Fangcao West Street. DA INTEGRATING created a brand new art space reduced to 400 square meters from the original 1,500-square-meter gallery.

Be Architektur presents its residential barn project in a hamlet zone of about 15 buildings in a rural, predominantly agricultural setting in Switzerland. Typical barn features were taken up and reinterpreted in a modern way. From a distance, the residential building blends discreetly into the rustic surroundings.

The Esplanade Tranquille designed by Les architectes FABG constitutes the last phase of a project to develop the public spaces of the West Pole of the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal. Its name pays tribute to the Tranquille Bookstore, once located on the site, an important place in the contemporary history of Quebec where the Refus global manifesto was launched in 1948.

For the lobby atrium of one of these new buildings on King Street in downtown Kitchener, Canada, Dubbeldam Architecture + Design designed Binary Spectrum, a site-specific installation that draws ideas from the region's rich history of manufacturing and its transformation into an emerging technology hub. The three-story-high installation consists of 8,000 coloured discs of varying diameters suspended from 650 wire cables.

Songyun Villa by Bob Chen Design Office

Situated in the bustling downtown of Changzhou, the hundred-year old Songyun Villa has now been opened to public after renovation. While remaining the original architectural style, an exquisite and deluxe restaurant has been built in the courtyard. The restaurant features the functional spaces for dining, high-end banquet, wine tasting, tea drinking and courtyard leisure, with 15 boxes of various sizes and one big dining hall.

We have received a new report supported by GARDE!

Opened in December, the transformed Art Gallery of New South Wales is Sydney’s most significant cultural development since the Sydney Opera House nearly half a century ago. The development almost doubles the art gallery’s exhibition space and includes a new building and centerpiece of the project designed by acclaimed Japanese architects SANAA. This is linked to the original building by an art garden. The art museum buildings are set in new civic spaces and landscape with elements designed by American landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson, creating new freely accessible outdoor art experiences. The new building is also comprised of art research and education spaces, multipurpose spaces, a gallery shop, food and beverage facilities, and visitor amenities.

Designed by Lemanarc SA, Xiamen Humanity Maternity Hospital was completed in September 2021 and is an expansion of the existing Xiamen Hong'ai Hospital. The name of the hospital refers to its philosophy, with Hong'ai meaning "spreading love" Its cozy and safe atmosphere offers users a whole new hospital experience.

The International Garden Festival is pleased to announce the selected projects for its 24th edition, titled ROOTS, which will take place from June 24 to October 1, 2023. This year, Ève De Garie-Lamanque, the event's artistic director, has asked designers to imagine a present and a future that is environmentally, economically and culturally responsible and that takes into account the lessons of past generations. In 2022, nearly 60,000 people visited the Reford Gardens.
