NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) acknowledged a media partnership with Dezeen, the world's most popular and influential architecture and design website.

Two parties dedicated to activities enhancing the architecture and design industry have come together to revitalize and empower the industry furthermore. We believe that utilizing our resources and exchanging information frequently will make it possible. We are willing to make this effort to provide useful information to our members.

ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020 - Outstanding Performance Awards

We are happy to introduce the two pieces which won the Outstanding Performance Awards for the ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020, "UNDER　PRODUCTION" by Mr. Daan Snippe and "Luis ～ from the cradle to the rocking chair" by Mr. Toshiki Yabushita.

Call for Entry! ASA Experimental Design Competition 2020

The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) in Thailand, calls for entries for the ASA Experimental Design Competition 2020. The competition theme is "THE EVERYDAY HERITAGE".

Besides the outstandingly astonishing architecture like registered national historic monuments and sites, there are a myriad of overlooked historic buildings that can be called “Everyday Heritage.”

This competition asks participants to look for the overlooked – ‘THE EVERYDAY HERITAGE’ that have been ignored and their potentials that are likewise slighted.
It is to point out such existing heritage property and to propose an architectural design with an appropriate scope of architectural intervention and purpose that helps reveal and enhance its hidden original values and that creatively establishes a new contemporary meaning to the place.

Winners Announcement - ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020

We are pleased to announce the winners of ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020. Our panel of judges, which includes three influencers from the architectural design, chose the winning entry based on how well it exemplified the entry requirements and the theme "Versatility".

ADF acknowledged a media partnership with Architizer

Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) acknowledged a media partnership with Architizer, the world's most magnificent architectural online platform based in New York City.

By introducing each other's activities, such as information on awards in each media, we will try to provide more beneficial information to ADF members. Additionally, we hope this will result in increasing user engagement on both platforms and eventually accommodating to empower architectural design throughout the world.

Final Call for Entry! ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020

ADF has decided to showcase at “Fuori Salone” during the Milano Salone, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, held next April in Milano, Italy. The showcase will go on during the exhibition period, from April 21 to 26, 2020. ADF will invite the design worldwide for the “ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020 ”. The registration is now open till December 13, 2019.
The theme of this year’s “ADF Milano Salone Design Award 2020” is “Versatility”. Furniture or space which well presents the word “Versatility” is required. This year, for the first time, three world-renowned super influencers will judge the entries with their sharp point of view.

Research Trip Report - JAPAN 2019 (Premio Neolaureati 2018 Awards)

ADF partnered with the Milan Architect Foundation and the Milan Architects Association, and invited the Premio Neolaureati 2018 Awards prize winner, Ms. Sofia Paoli and Mr. Simone Marchetti, to Japan for research studies and cultural exchanges.
During their stay in Japan, they were able to come in contact with all kinds of Japanese art and culture, which will definitely have an impact on their future artistic activities.

MIID REKA Awards 2019 Call For Entries!　Application Deadline - August 2nd

NPO ADF proudly supports "The MIID REKA Awards for Industry Excellence 2019", which was established by The Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) to celebrate outstanding interior design ideas. MIID is the national institute representing the interior design profession in Malaysia.

The MIID REKA Awards 2019 is continuing this year in search of design excellence. This is to recognize talented designers, interior designers, and architects that have created value to living and commercial spaces. All submitted entries must be designed by a registered member of MIID in Malaysia.

Research Trip Report - TOKYO 2019 (MIID & ADF Special Award)

A Report written by the MIID & ADF Special Award winner at the MIID Annual Ball & Awards 2018(16, November 2018), Ms. TINA LAU KOR TING.
This report is about the Tokyo research trip which was part of the prize, presented by ADF. The report introduces characteristic buildings representing modern Japanese architecture, and mentions how the trip to these buildings influenced the writer’s understanding towards modern Japanese architecture.
This report also refers to the visit to JAPAN SHOP Exhibition and to the meeting with ADF representatives.

ASA International Design Competition 2019 Results!

The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) in Thailand announced the results of the ASA International Design Competition 2019. This year is dedicated to fresh ideas in sustainability – approaches so radical, unanticipated, and transformative they earn the epithet ‘uncanny’.

The winner of this year's award was Phornphong Yanyadech, an architectural designer living in Germany. The title of the work is "The Eternity Sustainability", and the subtitle is "A new type of eco-crematorium to reutilize our dead body back to nature."
