Singapore Design Week 2022 will be held from 16 to 25 September 2022, and NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) will again support Singapore Design Week (SDW) organised by the DesignSingapore Council as a media partner. Singapore Design Week 2022 will see a stellar line-up of designers and creatives across the three pillars of Design Futures, Design Marketplace and Design Impact. Our UNESCO Creative City of Design will come alive this September as Singapore Design Week (SDW) makes its much-anticipated return after a two-year hiatus to showcase the best of design from Singapore and beyond.

The new Singapore Design Week (SDW) will shine the spotlight on Singapore as a futuristic city of design and innovation economy, an East-West nexus for design and lifestyle in Southeast Asia, and a purveyor of sustainable and impactful design solutions that address pressing real-world problems. This year's line-up of design and creative heavyweights promises to cement SDW as one of Asia's leading design festivals," said Mark Wee, Festival Director of SDW 2022. SDW 2022, which is based on the festival's three pillars, will bring together more than 50 events and 200 designers over ten days.

Design Futures focuses on the design of the future and the future of design through the lens of forward-looking Singapore - where a more positive future for Singapore and the world is prototyped. In 2022, this pillar will host a Design Futures Symposium, developed under the curatorial direction of internationally renowned design curator and author Paola Antonelli. The Design Futures Symposium will gather a number of distinguished thought leaders from Singapore and around the world. Together, they will explore the ways in which design is fundamental to future strategies and an enzyme for progress.

Design Marketplace uncovers lifestyle trends from across the globe, with a spotlight on the fast-growing Southeast Asia region. The pillar aligns with Singapore’s position as a global-Asia hub and gateway to Southeast Asia

From 2014 to 2019, the first six editions of Singapore Design Week presented a collection of local and international design activities in Singapore. As one of Asia's leading design festivals, SDW championed thought leadership by linking the worlds of design, business, and policy to create innovative solutions for building businesses, engaging communities, and enriching people's lives. The festival served as a hub where the best design talent and companies from Singapore and Asia came together to showcase to the world, and a platform where Singaporeans and visitors could experience the value of design through delightful activities.
