June 22, 2022, Design China Beijing, the fifth edition, was officially launched by the team of Design Shanghai. Unlike the previous editions, this year's Design China Beijing will present a Sustainable Design China Summit , with a brand-new approach. It will be held from September 26-28, 2022 at the China World Summit Wing Hotel in Beijing. ADF proudly supports the Design China Beijing as a media partner.

The Summit will explore the world of design from the perspective of sustainable design by bringing together renowned guests and KOLs from all walks of life related to design through six core themes, creating a high-profile stage for sustainable design, kick-starting the trend, and exploring the blueprint for the harmonious development of people, cities, and the global environment.

The Sustainable Design China Summit 2022 will focus on the architectural environment, recycling strategies, pioneering net-zero design and other innovative solutions, and innovative cases of material use, bringing together more than 70 design leaders, sustainability innovators, and industry pioneers such as policy makers, urban planners, theory researchers, and stakeholders from the fields of urban planning, architecture, environmental protection, fashion, and consumer goods. The summit will provide insights on sustainability issues, explore solutions and launch relevant action for a sustainable future together with an audience of more than 1,000 local professionals.

The Summit will be a meeting of minds based on six core themes: Designing a Sustainable World, Circular Design Thinking, Climate Changes Everything, On the Path to Net Zero, Nature by Design, and Building Sustainability & Green Design, which will serve to promote sustainable design. In the three months leading up to the Summit, a series of online seminars will be held in collaboration with authoritative media outlets to provide insights into sustainable design issues. The Summit will bring together industry experts, business leaders, and academic elites who are well-known both domestically and internationally.

As with previous Design China Beijing events, this year's summit will feature the Special Features Panel. Chris Lefteri, a world-renowned material design expert and author of "Materials for Design", will present "Material Installation", a curatorial exhibition of more than 50 different design materials. Chris Lefteri said, "The use of materials is at the heart of design, and the evaluation of environmentally friendly materials is multidimensional, based on the industry, product, life cycle and expected recycling methods.

The Sustainable Design China Summit will be held September 26-28, 2022, at the China World Summit Wing Hotel in Beijing. The Summit is an updated and expanded format to explore the world of design through a sustainable lens, highlighting innovative solutions and use of materials for the built environment, circular regenerative strategies, and breakthrough net-zero design concepts that embed new performance-based systems into the design process to ensure true sustainable innovation.
