NYC News June 2026 26 06 09 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! In recent years, immersive art in New York City has evolved from simple projection-based experiences into comprehensive productions where sound, spatial design, data, and technology intersect. A symbolic example of this trend is “reSOUND,” presented at Rockefeller Center. Created by d'strict, the Korean digital art studio, the installation transforms the entire venue into a single experiential environment through the use of sound, light, and vibration. Different creators and production teams are responsible for individual environments, resulting in a multilayered world within a single venue. The exhibition also includes experimental works that translate scientific data into sound, extending its scope into academic and research-based territory. Similar developments can be seen at Hall des Lumières and Mercer Labs. Immersive art is increasingly emerging as a multidisciplinary form of expression involving sound designers, engineers, architects, and researchers. As a leading center of this movement, New York continues to pioneer new frontiers in experiential design.

Located inside the landmark KAPSARC building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the BLACK GOLD MUSEUM introduces an immersive museum model that combines art, design, technology, and storytelling to examine humanity’s complex relationship with petroleum.

On the Champs-?lys?es?home to flagship stores of major sports brands such as Nike and Adidas?the PSG Caf? has opened as an experiential brand destination developed by Paris Saint-Germain F.C. The interior is based on the club’s signature colors?red, blue, and white?while maintaining an overall minimal and refined tone. By eliminating excessive decoration, the design achieves a contemporary and light atmosphere. Meanwhile, within the “Beauty & Skincare” zone on the basement level of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, La parapharmacie Carr? Op?ra has opened, offering a range of health and beauty products. The interior features a palette of white and natural tones, creating a clean and clinically reliable impression while maintaining a level of sophistication befitting a luxury department store. It plays an important role in shaping a new retail environment.

Paris News May 2026 26 05 12 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! In February 2026, Le Caf? Lacoste opened near the Champs-?lys?es, attracting attention as the brand’s first standalone permanent caf? worldwide. Featuring Lacoste’s signature green-and-white color palette, the space offers a minimalist yet warm atmosphere that reflects its DNA rooted in tennis apparel. Visitors can experience the brand’s “sporty elegance” through signature desserts and limited-edition items. In March 2026, a new area titled “World of Frozen” opened at Disneyland Paris. As part of the expansion of the second park?traditionally centered on the behind-the-scenes world of film production?the new area will recreate the world of Frozen on a grand scale. The park will also be renamed “Disney Adventure World,” and with further developments planned, including areas themed around The Lion King, the destination is expected to strengthen its appeal as a multi-day experience.

ADF Design Award 2026 Winners Announced 26 03 10 UP NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF), a non-profit organization, announced the results of the judging for the "ADF Design Award 2026", an award for architects from around the world, and has decided on the Grand Prize-winning work and the Excellence Award. The Grand Prize went to KEISUKE KOIKE (Thirdparty / K2YT). The Excellence Award went to Jeravej Hongsakul (IDIN Architects) and Jannis Renner（ATELIER BRÜCKNER）. Congratulations to all the winners.

【ADF Web Magazine】When geology becomes art 26 03 10 UP Roger Caillois’s remarkable mineral collection, where science meets aesthetics, is now on display in Paris at the École des Arts Joailliers. The exhibition presents more than 200 extraordinary stones gathered during Caillois’s travels across the Americas and Asia between 1952 and 1978. Fascinated by minerals as “objects at the crossroads” of geology, art, and philosophy, Caillois saw nature itself as an artist shaping intricate forms through time and pressure. Agates, septaria, and crystalline structures reveal landscapes, patterns, and imagined worlds within stone. Blending scientific curiosity with poetic imagination, the exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the mysterious beauty of the mineral world.
