The exhibition presents more than 200 extraordinary stones gathered during Caillois’s travels across the Americas and Asia between 1952 and 1978. Fascinated by minerals as “objects at the crossroads” of geology, art, and philosophy, Caillois saw nature itself as an artist shaping intricate forms through time and pressure. Agates, septaria, and crystalline structures reveal landscapes, patterns, and imagined worlds within stone. Blending scientific curiosity with poetic imagination, the exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the mysterious beauty of the mineral world.
