【ADF Web Magazine】Makiko Kudo Solo Exhibition "Reincarnation" at Perrotin Gallery 26 10 06 UP Artist and freelance writer Keith Tolch explores Makiko Kudo’s dreamlike paintings at Perrotin Gallery in Los Angeles. 【ADF Web Magazine】X Architects Proposes Zayed Waterfront for Abu Dhabi's Historic Port 26 09 29 UP Architecture and urban design practice X Architects has unveiled “Zayed Waterfront,” a proposal to reimagine Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi’s historic port district. The conceptual masterplan covers approximately 2.3 million square metres and is organised into three districts focused on cruises, business and resort activities. It would retain the area’s working maritime character while extending public space from the Corniche into the port and towards Saadiyat Island. Plazas, promenades, water transport, cultural facilities and coastal planting come together in a visioning proposal, rather than a completed development.

Rather than erasing the house’s accumulated history, the project preserves its distinctive character while reorganizing its fragmented interior around a new spatial centerpiece: a double-height greenhouse.

Award submissions will be accepted from Monday, August 17, 2026, to Friday, December 18, 2026 (JST). There will be a Grand Prize of US$10,000 and two Awards of Excellence of US$5,000 from all categories, for approximately US$20,000 in total prize money. Paris News June 2026 26 06 15 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! In April 2026, the legendary Pigalle nightclub Bus Palladium reopened following a major renovation. Long regarded as a symbol of postwar Parisian youth culture and the city’s rock scene, the venue was transformed with a Brutalist raw-concrete façade while preserving the outline and traces of the original building through an approach that “modernizes while preserving its heritage.” The project has been widely praised as an architectural endeavor that reinterprets Parisian nightlife for the present day. In March 2026, La Ferme de la Villette, an urban farming facility, opened within Parc de la Villette in Paris’s 19th arrondissement. At the center of the newly developed 15,000-square-meter site stands Halle de Rouvray, an industrial building dating back to 1914 that has been carefully renovated while retaining its historic steel structure and brick walls. More than an agricultural education facility, the project is recognized for proposing a new relationship between the city and nature.

NYC News June 2026 26 06 09 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! In recent years, immersive art in New York City has evolved from simple projection-based experiences into comprehensive productions where sound, spatial design, data, and technology intersect. A symbolic example of this trend is “reSOUND,” presented at Rockefeller Center. Created by d'strict, the Korean digital art studio, the installation transforms the entire venue into a single experiential environment through the use of sound, light, and vibration. Different creators and production teams are responsible for individual environments, resulting in a multilayered world within a single venue. The exhibition also includes experimental works that translate scientific data into sound, extending its scope into academic and research-based territory. Similar developments can be seen at Hall des Lumières and Mercer Labs. Immersive art is increasingly emerging as a multidisciplinary form of expression involving sound designers, engineers, architects, and researchers. As a leading center of this movement, New York continues to pioneer new frontiers in experiential design.
