【ADF Web Magazine】Esca: A Mediterranean Restaurant by URBANJOBS 25 11 04 UP URBANJOBS, the Istanbul-based multidisciplinary design studio known for its tactile and material-driven approach, has unveiled Esca, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located at İstinyePark in İzmir. With 189 seats and a menu crafted by Michelin-starred chef Osman Sezener, Esca offers an immersive dining experience where cuisine, architecture, and atmosphere converge to celebrate simplicity, light, and conviviality.

52nd WA Awards 10+5+X Now Open for Entries 25 10 21 UP An international architecture award organized by World Architecture Community The 52nd Cycle of the WA Awards 10+5+X, hosted by the World Architecture Community (WAC), is now open for submissions. The deadline is November 3, 2025 (23:59 GMT+0). This global awards program celebrates outstanding creativity and innovation in architecture and interior design, providing international recognition to projects often overlooked by conventional media. The Architecture Drawing Prize 2025 is accepting entries 25 09 16 UP The 8th edition of the Architecture Drawing Prize is open for submissions until 12 September 2025. Organized by the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in partnership with Make Architects and Sir John Soane’s Museum, the Prize returns after a two-year hiatus. Launched in 2017, it celebrates and showcases the artistry and skill of architectural drawings across multiple formats. NPO Aoyama Design Forum supports the Prize as an official media partner.

Japan News September 2025 25 09 16 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! Hotel Sosei Sapporo is a boutique design hotel in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, built on the historic site of the Pioneer Brewery-the birthplace of Sapporo Beer, founded in 1876. Since its opening in January 2024, the hotel has been distinguished by UNESCO’s Versailles initiative as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Hotels 2025.The interiors harmonize Japanese tradition with Western influences, blending reclaimed brick and timber with contemporary finishes. At its bar, a striking copper fireplace-evoking traditional German brewing kilns-creates a sense of historical warmth. Through curated art displays and guided tours, guests are invited to explore Sapporo’s rich cultural and industrial heritage.

“Festival of Architecture in Spanish (FAE) 2025” to be Held in Mexico City 25 08 26 UP On September 4 and 5, 2025, Mexico City will host the “Festival of Architecture in Spanish (FAE) 2025,” a two-day international gathering that celebrates contemporary design through dialogue, exploration, and shared experiences. Award submissions will be accepted from Friday, August 15, 2025, to Friday, December 19, 2025 (JST). There will be a Grand Prize of US$10,000 and two Awards of Excellence of US$5,000 from all categories, for approximately US$20,000. The ADF Design Awards is an excellent opportunity to showcase your design work to the world.

Paris News August 2025 25 08 19 UP We have received a new report supported by GARDE! The Grand Palais, a historic landmark in Paris, has reopened following a major renovation that spanned nearly four years. Originally constructed for the 1900 World’s Fair, the building has been transformed into a progressive space that accommodates a wide range of contemporary cultural activities, while honoring its iconic architectural grandeur. The theme of the renovation is a seamless fusion of history and modernity, resulting in a space that embodies sustainability, functionality, and artistic expression. Ami Paris, a French brand popular in Japan, has opened its flagship store on Rue de Turenne in the North Marais district of Paris. The interior was designed through a collaboration between founder Alexandre Mattiussi and the Paris-based Studio KO. The space reflects a modern yet welcoming atmosphere, featuring robust natural materials such as limestone, wood, and leather sourced from Euville in the Lorraine region. These elements are complemented by striking details like concrete columns and mirror-finished stainless steel, creating a refined yet grounded aesthetic.
