ADF Art Gallery Project Vol.16 "Zen Words Calligraphy Exhibition"

ADF (NPO Aoyama Design Forum) will host calligrapher Yoshiko Nakayama's "Zen Words Calligraphy Exhibition" as the 16th "ADF Art Gallery Project" art exhibition from October 7 (Friday) to October 17, 2022 (it will run through Monday).

ADF will hold a special exhibition of some of the recent works of "Zen Words in Writing" (Asahi Shimbun Publishing), published in March 2022 which featured Yoshiko Nakayama's calligraphy works.

The calligrapher sent a comment to the ADF.
"Based on the meaning of each word, I have expressed it sometimes gently and sometimes violently.
The interesting thing about calligraphy is that you can convey different expressions with your own unique view of the world.

I also want many people to know calligraphy as a traditional and rich culture. I hope that this exhibition will make you interested in calligraphy or want to try it. I am very happy.

At the exhibition site, I will also play an entertaining and easy-to-understand video of "Nobunaga and Yoshiko Nakayama's Beautiful Letter Lesson (Hiragana)". If you are not familiar with the world of calligraphy, please take a moment to watch the Bimoji lessons that you can apply to your daily life."
