Handkerchief Day: Design applications are accepted from November 3, 2020

CLASSICS the Small Luxury, the handkerchief specialty store, hosts the CLASSICS the Small Luxury Design Award for handkerchief design, inviting applications for the award from November 3, 2020 to January 31, 2021. CLASSICS the Small Luxury opened its first store in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills in 2003 with the concept of "luxury in the palm of your hand". Classics the Small Luxury is a handkerchief store that produces original seasonal designs, high quality materials, beautiful designs, and meticulous work. They have released handkerchiefs in collaboration with many domestic and international artists.

In the year 2020, the world is rapidly changing, as represented by the word "new normal," and we are entering a new era and a new way of life. Handkerchiefs have remained the same, as an object for wiping washed hands, wiping sweat from the forehead, wiping tears from the cheeks, and blowing the nose. People carry them around as a form of etiquette at weddings, funerals, and meals; in 18th-century Europe, they were used as artifacts of the nobility and as gifts of love.

A handkerchief is a "SWITCH" that influences the emotions of the heart, and CLASSICS the Small Luxury Design Award is calling for designs that can become a switch to move people's emotions within the limited campus space of 45 cm square.
