	52nd WA Awards 10+5+X Now Open for Entries
	An international architecture award organized by World Architecture Community The 52nd Cycle of the WA Awards 10+5+X, hosted by the World Architecture Community (WAC), is now open for submissions. The deadline is November 3, 2025 (23:59 GMT+0). This global awards program celebrates outstanding creativity and innovation in architecture and interior design, providing international recognition to projects often overlooked by conventional media. Aoyama Design Forum (ADF, NPO) supports the WA Awards as one of its official media partners. 	We have received a new report supported by GARDE! Rimowa Korea has opened a new store on the first floor of The Hyundai Seoul. The interior design highlights Rimowa¡Çs iconic silver metal while incorporating premium materials such as oakwood, Italian terrazzo, and limestone to add visual depth and variation. Artwork by photographer Alessio Bolzoni is displayed throughout the space, reflecting the dialogue between art and the brand. Italian luxury brand THE ATTICO has opened its first standalone store in Asia, located in Seoul. Drawing attention as the first realization of the brand¡Çs new spatial concept, ¡ÈThe Attico Floorplan,¡É the Seoul store is designed around a ¡Èlibrary¡É theme, featuring warm wood tones, Italian architectural details, design books, and Milan-inspired wooden panels and bookshelves.

The exhibition ¡ÈPatience and Persistence¡É by artists Alexa Kumiko Hatanaka and Johnny Nghiem is currently on view at the Prince Takamado Gallery of the Embassy of Canada until Thursday, January 15, 2026. ADF (Aoyama Design Forum), spoke with Hatanaka—a Japanese Canadian queer artist who create while living with bipolar —about the background of her practice and her thoughts on working with her condition.

	Concrete Amsterdam has completed Fishtown Urby, a new residential project in Philadelphia that reflects the ongoing expansion of the Urby brand across the United States. Located at 1700 North Front Street, the development reinterprets local industrial architecture through a five-story brick structure animated by strategic cut-outs, varied façade treatments, and programmed courtyards that open the building to its surrounding neighborhood.

Introduced during London Design Festival, the pieces caught attention for their distinctive use of 3D-printed quartz sand and metal, merging computational precision with a stone-like, tactile finish.
