Founded on the premise of democratizing architecture, the A+Awards is the industry’s largest and most international awards program, honoring the best buildings and spaces from across the globe. We have received a new report supported by GARDE!
Blu Dock Restel Bangkok is a 12-room boutique hotel located in the Talat Noi district near Bangkok’s Chinatown. The area has become popular as a neighborhood where historic buildings, street art, galleries, vintage shops, trendy cafés, and traditional Chinese and Thai architecture coexist. Inspired by the owners’ childhood memories of boat travel and riverside life, the project adopts an architectural and interior design approach that repurposes existing structures. The interior features a blue color palette, porthole-inspired elements, and details evoking river transport, all harmonizing with traditional Chinese wooden doors, ceramics, and warm natural materials. The guest rooms are compact and functional, offering quiet, minimalist spaces ideal for short stays. |
