    Call For Entries “ADF Design Award 2026”
 
NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) is pleased to announce the “ADF Design Award 2026”, the 16th annual international design award organized by ADF. Award submissions will be accepted from Friday, August 15, 2025, to Friday, December 19, 2025 (JST). There will be a Grand Prize of US$10,000 and two Awards of Excellence of US$5,000 from all categories, for approximately US$20,000. The ADF Design Awards is an excellent opportunity to showcase your design work to the world.

Venue: GARDE Gallery (ALLIANCE Building 4F, 5-2-1 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo)

Chicago Build Expo 2025 to be Held in Chicago
Promoting Diversity and Equality in the Midwest’s Built Environment
The Midwest’s largest construction show, Chicago Build Expo 2025, will take place from October 29 to 30, 2025, at McCormick Place Hall D2 in Chicago. The event will welcome more than 30,000 attendees, 350+ exhibitors, and 400+ speakers across 13 conference tracks, covering fields such as architecture, real estate, digital construction, and sustainability. In addition to conferences, the expo will also feature live music, performances, food and drink tastings, creating a large-scale platform for networking and knowledge exchange. ADF (Aoyama Design Forum) will support "Chicago Build Expo 2025" as a media partner.

”World Architecture Festival 2025” to Be Held in Miami for the First Time
The World Architecture Festival (WAF) will be held in the United States for the first time in its 18-year history. Taking place from November 12 to 14, 2025, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida, the festival will welcome architects and designers from around the world for three days of live awards judging, talks, exhibitions, and networking. Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) is proud to serve as an official media partner for the 2025 edition.

We have received a new report supported by GARDE!

The new Jim Thompson flagship store, located in the One Bangkok mixed-use development, boasts a stylish two-story layout spanning 550 square meters. The space seamlessly integrates retail, exhibition, and food & beverage functions. Reflecting the brand’s textile heritage, the interior features silk-covered walls, red mirrored surfaces, and furnishings from the Jim Thompson Home Collection, creating an atmosphere that is both refined and immersive. Also within One Bangkok, the Swatch concept store stands as the brand’s largest flagship globally, occupying over 600 square meters across two floors in The Storeys retail zone. The interior design draws inspiration from traditional Thai pavilions, reinterpreting classic architectural forms with contemporary materials. The result is an open, flexible environment that highlights Swatch’s core values of art, creativity, and interactive engagement.
