| 【ADF Web Magazine】Material Entanglements and Forms of Belonging at the Shanghai Biennale |
Amedeo Martines’ article offers a thoughtful exploration of the 15th Shanghai Biennale, framing contemporary art as a means to rethink human relationships within a “more-than-human” world. Through works by Theaster Gates, Maxime Cavajani, and Liu Shuai, he highlights how material practices and cultural narratives shape new forms of belonging.
What stands out is Martines’ ability to connect conceptual ideas with spatial experience, guiding readers through the exhibition as an immersive environment. His focus on materiality and process reveals deeper themes of coexistence, migration, and transformation. This article is highly recommended for those interested in interdisciplinary design, curatorial practice, and environmentally engaged art. |
