Denmark News January 2026
We have received a new report supported by GARDE!

25hours Hotel Copenhagen Paper Island opened on July 27, 2024, on Christiansholm in Copenhagen Harbor. Designed by COBE Architects, the project forms part of a waterfront redevelopment that revitalizes a former industrial area once used for shipbuilding, warehousing, and paper storage. The hotel comprises 128 guest rooms, along with restaurants, bars, and public spaces, and is located close to Nyhavn and the Royal Danish Opera House. The newly constructed building references the scale and proportions of historic industrial halls. Interiors by Stylt Trampoli draw inspiration from the idea of a Scandinavian summer house, incorporating wood, coastal color palettes, reclaimed materials, and objects that reflect the site’s port history. Together, these elements create an unpretentious atmosphere that maintains a strong connection to the surrounding waterfront.
