Paris News January 2026
We have received a new report supported by GARDE!

The newly opened Fondation Cartier has been revitalized by architect Jean Nouvel, who transformed this 19th-century Haussmann-style building into an innovative space for contemporary art. By preserving the stone façade and arcades while incorporating large glass surfaces and sloped canopies, the building achieves a transparent, open dialogue with the city. A movable platform at the base allows the exhibition space to transform freely, offering visitors continually new experiences. The boutique hotel Èlysée Montmartre has opened next to the historic Théâtre de l’Èlysée-Montmartre. Its material palette reflects a strong ecological consciousness. By deliberately minimizing the processing of natural materials such as eucalyptus wood, stone, and linen, the design embraces the passage of time and the patina that comes with use. Incorporating the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, the hotel creates a space that harmonizes tranquility and warmth.
