Belgium News November 2025
We have received a new report supported by GARDE!

The new UNIQLO Meir store in Antwerp is located in the historic Osterriethhuis (Osterrieth House), which faces Meir Street, the city's main shopping avenue. Originally built as a merchant’s residence in the early 16th century, the building underwent Rococo-style renovations and further modifications in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has now been restored with great care, preserving features such as stucco ceilings, marble fireplaces, and historic paintings.
A newly added glass roof over the central courtyard creates a bright, open space filled with natural light. The store offers clothing repair, customization, and upcycling services through the “RE.UNIQLO Studio,” as well as the “UT.me!” service that allows customers to create original T-shirts and tote bags. Blending modern retail functions with its centuries-old architectural character, the store offers a unique shopping experience

【ADF Web Magazine】Beyond the label: a free-address office that truly works
Written by Architect and Researcher Matteo Belfiore, this article is strongly recommended for architects, designers, and business leaders questioning the real effectiveness of “free-address” offices. Belfiore moves beyond trends to reveal why many flexible workplaces fail: design alone cannot change behavior. Through Shukoh’s renewed Kawasaki headquarters, he shows how digital systems, clear rules, and leadership culture must align with spatial design. The article stands out for its calm, precise analysis and its rejection of superficial flexibility, offering a convincing and durable model for post-COVID workplaces where flexibility becomes a natural, sustainable practice.
