	Call For Entries ¡ÈADF Design Award 2026¡É
	NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) is pleased to announce the ¡ÈADF Design Award 2026¡É, the 16th annual international design award organized by ADF. Award submissions will be accepted from Friday, August 15, 2025, to Friday, December 19, 2025 (JST). There will be a Grand Prize of US$10,000 and two Awards of Excellence of US$5,000 from all categories, for approximately US$20,000. The ADF Design Awards is an excellent opportunity to showcase your design work to the world.

	The Architecture Drawing Prize 2025 is accepting entries
	The 8th edition of the Architecture Drawing Prize is open for submissions until 12 September 2025. Organized by the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in partnership with Make Architects and Sir John Soane¡Çs Museum, the Prize returns after a two-year hiatus. Launched in 2017, it celebrates and showcases the artistry and skill of architectural drawings across multiple formats. NPO Aoyama Design Forum supports the Prize as an official media partner.

	¡ÉWorld Architecture Festival 2025¡É to Be Held in Miami for the First Time
	The World Architecture Festival (WAF) will be held in the United States for the first time in its 18-year history. Taking place from November 12 to 14, 2025, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida, the festival will welcome architects and designers from around the world for three days of live awards judging, talks, exhibitions, and networking. Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) is proud to serve as an official media partner for the 2025 edition.

	Paris News September 2025
	We have received a new report supported by GARDE! In June 2025, Plantation Paris opened in the Chapelle International area of Paris¡Çs 18th arrondissement. This hybrid facility combines an urban farm with an event space, featuring a large bioclimatic greenhouse, a permaculture garden, and a bar-restaurant serving dishes made with freshly harvested vegetables and herbs. The event space, situated between the greenhouse and the garden, hosts diverse weekend programs such as free concerts, food events, and ecology-themed workshops.In April 2025, Léonie Bakery-one of Paris¡Çs most popular bakeries-opened a new branch at the Caserne de Reuilly in the 12th arrondissement. Spanning 1,000 square meters, it is now the largest bakery in Paris and has quickly drawn significant attention. Its lush terrace, framed by olive trees and adjoining a spacious park, offers a serene retreat from the urban bustle. At the back of the shop, the bakery workshop features a counter where customers can watch the bread-making process unfold.

	The Tallinn Design Festival (TDF), the largest event of its kind in the Baltic region to be held for September 29 to October 5, 2025, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a bold commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. Running under the slogan "Design for All", the 2025 edition will unfold across the Krulli Quarter, a former metal plant now transformed into a creative hub where industrial heritage meets contemporary culture.

	¡ÚADF Web Magazine¡ÛBamboo Housing System by Blue Temple, that resists 7.7 Earthquake in Myanmar
	In March 2025, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar. The country¡Çs second-largest city, Mandalay, was left in ruins. Before the earthquake, just 15 kilometers from the epicenter, 26 bamboo houses built by Housing NOW, that is a bamboo construction initiative created by Blue Temple, a for families already displaced by conflict stood. Against the backdrop of overlapping crises, every house remained absolutely intact.

	OODA, an architecture studio based in Porto, Portugal, has unveiled "Miramar Tower"—a residential building distinguished by its unique position near the sea and its sculptural presence within the urban landscape. While its scale and proportion align with the nearby towers of Pasteleira Park, its conceptual direction deviates entirely, pursuing an innovative housing model centered on spacious terraces exceeding 200 square meters per floor.

	Chicago Build Expo 2025 to be Held in Chicago
	Promoting Diversity and Equality in the Midwest¡Çs Built Environment The Midwest¡Çs largest construction show, Chicago Build Expo 2025, will take place from October 29 to 30, 2025, at McCormick Place Hall D2 in Chicago. The event will welcome more than 30,000 attendees, 350+ exhibitors, and 400+ speakers across 13 conference tracks, covering fields such as architecture, real estate, digital construction, and sustainability. In addition to conferences, the expo will also feature live music, performances, food and drink tastings, creating a large-scale platform for networking and knowledge exchange. ADF (Aoyama Design Forum) will support "Chicago Build Expo 2025" as a media partner.
