" Commemorative Exhibition on New Acquisition KISHIDA Riusei and Morimura Collection & Matsukata " The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto

In March 2021, the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, will have a collection of 42 works by Riusei Kishida (1891-1929). They are all in the collection of a collector, of which 29 were purchased and 13 were donated. The number of works by Riusei Kishida in the museum's collection thus amounts to about 50, including 24 oil paintings, 6 watercolors and 9 Japanese paintings.

AXIS "Current Surface Design & Technology" Exhibition
An exhibition based on the book "The Present of Surface Design & Technology" edited by k / o design studio Kunihide Oshinomi, photographed by Atsushi Nakamichi of Nakasa and Partners and published by AGB will be held at AXIS gallery. It will be held from Saturday, January 28, 2022. The contents that could not be conveyed in the book will be reconstructed in three dimensions. For the exhibition, photographs and drawings will be re-edited and small mock-ups will be displayed to create a realistic texture. The exhibition will be a place to experience the "future" ushered in by the new technology. As an example, a group of works that combines the surface design of famous architects with digital technology.

"LOOS AND PILSEN Exhibition Plzen City Interior" Czech Center Tokyo (Embassy of the Czech Republic)
The exhibition "LOOS AND PILSEN Adolf Loos Exhibition Plzen City Interior" by Czech architect Adolf Loos, known as a pioneer of modernist architecture, will be held at the Czech Center Tokyo (Embassy of the Czech Republic) in Hiroo, Tokyo. It will be held from December 15, 2021 (Wednesday) to January 31, 2022 (Monday). The main goal of this exhibition is to capture Loth's activities in the city of Plzen in a broader context. We will present interior architecture that you do not see. At the venue, architectural models, 3D images, VR images, etc. will be exhibited together in cooperation with Toyo College, and in the evening, interior images of Roth will be projected on the outside wall of the venue.

"Seashell Trip-Migishi Kotaro / Setsuko Exhibition-" Kobe City Koiso Memorial Museum of Art
The exhibition "Seashell Trip-Migishi Kotaro / Setsuko Exhibition-" is held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the meeting between Kotaro Migishi and Setsuko, who led the world of Japanese Western-style painting. Kotaro Migishi (1903-34), a painter who appeared on the scene like a comet and painted a unique romantic world. Setsuko Migishi (1905-99), a person of cultural merit who pioneered Western-style female painters and paved the way for hardship. The "two-person exhibition," which brings together more than 80 masterpieces from across Japan, is being held for the first time in about 30 years and the first time since Setsuko's death. The exhibition introduces the vibrant world of painting that the two built, focusing on the journey that became a turning point in their lives.

Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore ART PARTY 2021.12-2022.1 Kiyokawa Vague Solo Exhibition "Scissors on the Borderline"
Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore ART PARTY is a special exhibition that explores the art of the coming era and considers the decade of the early 21st century as a turning point in Japanese art. As the 14th day of the exhibition series "Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore ART PARTY" featuring emerging artists, the solo exhibition "Borderline Scissors" by Kiyokawa Vague will be on display at the Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore Art Wall Gallery from December 18 (May) to January 7, 2022 (Monday). This exhibition will feature four works, including new works created for this exhibition. Experience the work of Kiyokawa Vaku, who won the "SICF21" Tanaka Keiko Award in 2020 and the "CAF Award 2020" and is now attracting attention.

"Icon CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY" is an exhibition of new photographic expressions of contemporary art woven by Tomohide Ikeya / Ryo Ohwada / Yukiko Sugiyama / Tsubasa Fujikura / Michael Hitoshi / PHOTOGRAPHERHAL.

MATSUMOTO ARCHITECTURE + ART FESTIVAL
On January 29, 2022, the "Matsumoto Architectural Arts Festival" will be held, combining the famous architecture and art of Matsumoto city in Nagano Prefecture and spreading the charm of Matsumoto inside and outside the prefecture, with the core message of "Matsumoto's winter, where art lives in the famous architecture". It will be held for the first time from Sunday (Sat) to February 20 (Sun). In the city, there are two national treasures and the famous architecture of many state-registered material cultural properties. In this festival, the national cultural property "Former Kaichi School", the national registered tangible cultural property "Former Daiichi Kogyo Bank Matsumoto Branch" from the early Showa period, the Nagano Prefecture cultural property "Former Nenrai-ji Bell Tower", a "Former Nenrai-ji Bell Tower", and other nostalgic atmosphere. LOPIN'ALONG THRU THE COSMOS
Nathaniel Russell, who is very active in the skateboarding and surfing scene, will hold an exhibition in Japan for the first time in about two years and three months at the Grand Gallery in Shibuya. Artist Corona Sada, who has many fans not only in the United States but around the world, has been preparing for the exhibition since mid- 2020 and announced Nathaniel's latest work, which he drew on the theme of "Cosmos" (outer space). 45 watercolors drawn by all will be exhibited and sold.

"Good Things and Good Journeys." Exhibition
An exhibition "Good Things and Good Trips" will be held at Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore (GINZA SIX 6F, Chuo-ku, Tokyo). In addition to the works of photographer Yuki Ogawa, the first collaboration with fashion brand "Noir Fr", a traditional craft that Yuki Ogawa encountered on his trip, will also be exhibited and sold. In this exhibition, we focus on our own country, Japan, and weave together traditional crafts and fashion, including photographic works of fascinating landscapes that Ogawa Yuki encountered on his journey through the country, under the heading of "a journey to look back on now". Special Exhibition "The Eyes of Art, the Eyes of Archeology" Yokohama History Museum

Jiro Konami Photo Exhibition "Yellow Sun-Burning Drops-" PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO

PARCO Co., Ltd. will be showing a new photography exhibition, "Yellow Sun-Burning Drop-" by Jiro Konami, a New York- based photographer, starting December 24 (Friday).
This exhibition will feature 85 works (some of which will be for sale) that show the transition from the scene of 18-year-old Hachijo, when Jiro Konami started photography, to the present, when he became a father and lives in New York. In addition, the special edition (limited to 100 copies) and the regular edition of the photo book "Yellow Sun -Burning Drop-" produced to commemorate the exhibition are available for pre- sale.
