"Design that will continue in the future" MUJI Tokyo Ariake

Ryohin Keikaku started a special project of "MUJI Tokyo Ariake" in collaboration with the Finnish home furnishing brand "Artek", which was founded in 1935, to represent the theme of living space combining the furniture of both companies and the company's chairs and tables. Lighting equipment and other products will be on sale from October 1 (Friday) to November 15 (Monday) 2021. During this period, events such as the presentation of Altech's brand philosophy, manufacturing from Finnish natural materials, bentwood technology dating back to the 1930s, etc., are planned to showcase in the in-store installation.

"Live with endangered species En-live vol.1" The Knot Tokyo Shinjuku and others

"Live with endangered species En-live vol.1 Exhibition" is being held at the gallery of the lifestyle hotels "The Knot Tokyo Shinjuku" and "The Knot Sapporo", and at the three bases of the working cafe "Poool" that opened in August this year. Exhibition "Class Struggle, Militant, Gateway" Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo

"Collecting Van Gogh: Helene Kröller-Müller's Passion for Vincent's Art" Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum

This exhibition features the world-famous artist Vincent van Gogh (1853 - 1890), from his early days through his final years. The exhibit showcases 28 paintings and 20 drawings and prints from a collection of the Kröller-Müller Museum, the world's most giant private van Gogh collection by the museum's first director, Helene Kröller-Müller (1869-1939). "160th Anniversary of Death, Kuniyoshi Utagawa" Ota Memorial Museum

Kuniyoshi Utagawa (1797-1861) was an ukiyo-e artist who was active in the late Edo period. Kuniyoshi made his debut as an ukiyo-e artist in his late teens. After a painful period when he could not sell, he got his big break with the series "One hundred and eight heroes of the popular Suikoden all told (Tsūzoku Suikoden gōketsu hyakuhachinin no hitori) ", which he drew in his early 30s. Since then, he had worked vigorously on all kinds of genres, such as paintings of warriors depicting brave warlords, cartoons depicting comic laughter, landscape paintings full of unique charm, beautiful paintings, paintings of actors, children's paintings, and many students. He also created and led the ukiyo-e world.

2021 marks 160 years since the death of Kuniyoshi Utagawa. In this commemorative year, this exhibition will reintroduce the life and works of Kuniyoshi and explore his charm.
