Asia¡Çs leading architecture business event, ARCHIDEX, and the ASEAN Real Estate Conference (AREC) 2025 were officially launched on July 23 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) by Malaysia¡Çs Deputy Prime Minister, Dato¡Ç Sri Fadillah. The dual-venue showcase—ARCHIDEX at MITEC (July 21–24) and KLCC (July 23–26)—attracted over 56,000 visitors from 110 countries and generated RM2 billion in business opportunities. NPO Aoyama Design Forum (ADF) participated in this event as a media partner.
One of the highlights of this year¡Çs ARCHIDEX was FENESTEX, showcased at the MITEC venue. This dedicated zone featured cutting-edge façade design and fenestration solutions, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable architecture. Meanwhile, the KLCC venue hosted national pavilions from countries such as Austria and Singapore, presenting architectural technologies and design philosophies from around the world.

With Malaysia as the 2025 ASEAN Chair, the event underscored regional leadership in sustainable urbanisation and smart infrastructure. In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised ASEAN¡Çs role as a resilient, integrated market that drove infrastructure and real estate growth through regional collaboration.
In his speech, Malaysia¡Çs Deputy Prime Minister Dato¡Ç Sri Fadillah emphasized that ¡Èintegrating infrastructure development across ASEAN was key to enhancing regional economic resilience,¡É underlining the importance of shared standards and cross-border collaboration in urban development.
ARCHIDEX 2025 highlighted architectural innovation and sustainable design. At MITEC, visitors explored FENESTEX, which featured advanced façade systems, AI-driven solutions, and emerging design talent. KLCC showcased global participation through national pavilions and themed zones like WOW (World of Works), the MTC–PAM Pavilion, and the Malaysia–China Customised Furniture Zone.
AREC 2025, themed ¡ÈThe Real Estate Renaissance,¡É ran alongside ARCHIDEX, focusing on affordable housing, climate-resilient infrastructure, and smart cities. Key topics included cross-border housing, infrastructure resilience, and regional sustainability standards.
Held concurrently was Kuala Lumpur Architecture Week (KLAW 2025), an initiative that brought architecture, art, and heritage to Old Kuala Lumpur. By bridging business events and tourism, the program aimed to create memorable experiences and promote creative urban revitalisation.
