This special anniversary edition of the MOT Collection exhibition divides the history of art from 1935 to 2025 into decades, presenting key works from each era in nine themed sections. TOP Museum 30th Anniversary Exhibition: ¡ÈTOP Collection—FUEKI RYUKO¡É
Focusing on the philosophy of ¡ÈFUEKI RYUKO¡É (constancy and change) advocated by Edo-period haiku poet Matsuo Basho, this exhibition commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. The museum¡Çs collection is restructured into five thematic sections, reflecting on what changes and what remains the same over time.

Toyota Municipal Museum of Art – Kuroda Tatsuaki: A Journey Through Wood, Lacquer, and Mother-of-Pearl
This exhibition commemorates the 120th anniversary of the birth of Kuroda Tatsuaki (1904–1982), a renowned wood and lacquer artist active both before and after World War II. Self-taught and deeply influenced by classic works from Japan and abroad, Kuroda was celebrated for his extraordinary sculptural skill and mastery of diverse techniques. His involvement in the Mingei (folk crafts) movement, alongside figures like Yanagi Muneyoshi and Kawai Kanjiro, significantly shaped his artistic journey. In 1970, he became the first artist working with wood to be designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property holder (Living National Treasure).​

The exhibition showcases a range of Kuroda¡Çs works from throughout his long career, including pieces with a lustrous lacquer finish, dynamic wiped-lacquer objects crafted with curving and twisting techniques, and yogai raden mother-of-pearl inlay incorporating Mexican abalone which marked a breakthrough in the raden technique, as well as original sketches and previously unreleased materials. Visitors are invited to explore the breadth and essence of Kuroda¡Çs oeuvre, from large-scale furniture to delicate items small enough to hold in one¡Çs hand.​

Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo – Kenjiro Okazaki: ¼©º£¼©¸å Time Unfolding Here
Kenjiro Okazaki is a multifaceted artist known for his contributions to painting, sculpture, architecture, robotics, and critical writing. This large-scale solo exhibition explores his concept of zōkei (plastic arts) as a way to reconnect human perception with the world, especially amid growing global instability. The show highlights works produced since 2021—marking a pivotal point in his practice—alongside key pieces from earlier periods. Okazaki invites viewers to reconsider not whether the world is changing, but how our perception of it can be transformed. Through his work, the exhibition offers new ways of understanding form, time, and transformation.

Shimane Art Museum – Samiro Yunoki: The Eternal Now
The Shimane Art Museum is honored to present "Samiro Yunoki: The Eternal Now," a comprehensive exhibition celebrating the life and work of the late dyeing artist Samiro Yunoki (1922–2024). Renowned for his vibrant stencil-dyeing (katazome) techniques, Yunoki's creations are characterized by their free-spirited forms and harmonious color palettes. His artistic journey began post-World War II at the Ohara Museum of Art, where he was influenced by the Mingei (folk art) movement and mentored by Keisuke Serizawa. Over the decades, Yunoki expanded his repertoire to include prints, collages, picture books, and three-dimensional works. This exhibition offers an extensive overview of Yunoki's diverse artistic endeavors, featuring pieces from his early career to his final years.​
